It's official, according to the website www.positiveweathersolutions.co.uk, we're in for a lovely
warm summer. These are the same people who got it right last year by predicting a wash-out summer followed by a particularly cold winter so they're more credible than the Met Office in my eyes.
If that's the case, this leads me onto a bit of shameless advertising. Hanging baskets become a bit of a nightmare to look after during spells of drought or just even very warm summers so I'd like to remind everyone about our drought resistance hanging basket and flower range.
One of the first things to remember is to choose plants that need less watering. Many Mediterranean and tropical plants often need less water than traditional flowers and can look as effective in containers and planters. But if your heart is still set on flowers, why not try something such as the Decora, a colourful, trailing geranium full of character.
Hanging baskets planted with Decora require significantly less watering than regular hanging baskets, without losing their visual appeal.
We can also plant Decora in troughs, hay mangers and other planters - just tell us what you want and we'll make sure your summer flower collection looks spectacular.
But get your orders in early. If Positive Weather Solutions are indeed correct, we expect our drought resistent baskets to sell like hot cakes in a few months!
