Our Sheffield branch received a bit of publicity for their hanging baskets in the Loughborough Echo this week. .sflb)
The newspaper was promoting the town's efforts with the East Midlands In Bloom awards and took a picture of our very own installs supervisor Mick Beckett.
Our work for the the town started earlier in the year when all the baskets were grown at our Four Oaks nurseries in Cheshire.
Then the fun job began of installing 400 baskets, which we delivered at 6am over three mornings, corordinated by Ian Petherick and Mick Beckett. We also installed over 100 new wrought iron brackets to lampposts throughout the town as well as seven Garsy tower planters planted with Bizzie Lizzies in a funky spiral pattern.
The baskets will be hand watered on a rota system six days a week by Phil Corrick. Needless to say all the plants look really stunning.
Bob Capel our regional manager is particularly proud of this project - he has to because his mother lives near Loughborough and gives him regular updates on the progress of the displays!
