BALI Awards
PHS Greenleaf won the BALI Principal Award for Interior Landscape Installation in recognition of the interior planting at the Royal Bank of Scotland, Gogarburn in Scotland. BALI ( British Association of Landscape Industries) were themselves celebrating their 30th anniversary at a glittering occasion. Over 600 BALI members, sponsors and guests, including well known gardening and TV personalities attended the event and heard Lord Sebastian Coe deliver the keynote speech which highlighted the importance of striving for excellence.
Greenleaf was proud to receive an award, presented by Lord Coe, for an amazing concept. This consisted of planting to an internal street area using 30 specimen Ficus trees ranging from 5 to 9 metres in height, with colourful and varied underplanting completing the scheme at ground level. The tree pits were even fitted with a rotating device, which enables them to be turned towards the light source thus preventing uneven growth – technology and nature in perfect harmony!
